Business Organization and Qualifications
In 1987, Landmark
Archaeological & Environmental Services was formed to provide archaeological,
geological, and environmental services to government and private industry. In
1994, the business was expanded into our first full service
office and lab facility in Sheridan, Indiana; and was further expanded in 2000
with a second regional laboratory and office in Columbia, Kentucky.
Landmark personnel are experienced in meeting our client's needs for all
phases of compliance issues, including Phase I, II, III investigations,
Section 106, FERC, ARPA, and National Register eligibility statements. In
addition, Landmark staff have completed National Register of Historic Places
(NHRP) nominations, NRHP District nominations, and have experience with
National Historic Landmark nomination protocol.
Landmark principal investigators have experience in Prehistoric Archaeology,
Historic Archaeology, Osteology, Cultural Resource Management, and
Environmental Geology. Landmark has engaged in projects of many sizes, from
small, less than one acre bridge replacement surveys, to 180 mile waterline
surveys and interstate roadway environmental studies encompassing over 1200

technicians and supervisors as needed to complete your project in a timely
manner.
